The First American Orchestral and Band Conducting Symposium is sponsored by the the Puebla State Conservatory of Music and Escuela de Música "Fausto de Andrés y Aguirre" in the State of Puebla (Mexico).
The Symposium is designed to bring professional conducting instruction to the Puebla area. Lecture sessions on topics related to band and orchestral literature and conducting pedagogy will be presented . Participants will have practicum opportunities and instruction with the resident ensembles (Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble). The symposium will conclude with a concert conducted by symposium participants on December 11, 2014.
